Pro Site Docs · Guide
The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 — CDM 2015 — set out how construction work must be planned and managed. As a subcontractor you have real duties under them. Here is what matters.
Your duties as a contractor
- Plan, manage and monitor your work so it is carried out without risks to health and safety
- Provide RAMS and cooperate with the principal contractor
- Make sure your workers are competent and inducted
- Provide information and briefings to your team
The documents you’ll be asked for
Typically a RAMS for your activity, evidence of competence and training, and completed records such as inductions, briefings and inspections. On larger jobs you may contribute to the Construction Phase Plan.
